Frequently asked questions

  • In uncomplicated pregnancies, the main clinical guidelines recommend exercise actively: it is associated with less lumbar discomfort, better weight control and better postpartum recovery. What needs to be adapted is the intensity, the type of exercise and the position, and that is exactly what we do session by session.

  • You can start at any level. If you already trained before, we adapt what you were doing; if you start now, we build from scratch with a smooth progression. The only thing that changes from quarter to quarter is which exercises and positions are suitable.

  • Yes, by adapting the loads and exercises. Maintaining strength during pregnancy helps with back pain, posture, and post-workout recovery. What we remove are the prolonged supine exercises from the second trimester onwards, the high-impact exercises, and those that greatly increase intra-abdominal pressure.

  • It depends on the type of delivery and your recovery, and always after the medical discharge — usually around 6 weeks. We start with pelvic floor exercises, breathing, and deep core before moving on to more strenuous activities. Returning too soon to your pre-pregnancy routine is the most common mistake after childbirth.

  • We ask you to discuss this with your gynecologist or midwife before starting, and if there are any specific indications, we incorporate them into the plan. Our coach works in coordination with the medical team at the center, but your obstetric follow-up is always up to you.
